Abstract:
The Olympic AI Agenda (the AI Agenda) is a seminal document by the International Olympic Committee that addresses the trends of global sports transformation in the era of artificial intelligence. This study employs methods such as literature analysis and logical analysis to interpret the AI Agenda and explores future pathways for high-quality development in China’s sports sector. Released against the backdrop of increased technological prominence, enhanced coupling, and expansive global reach, the AI Agenda proactively proposes five guiding principles, five strategic goals, and a global governance framework. However, as a globally oriented document, it still faces challenges such as equitable resource allocation, value discrepancies within uniformity, credibility issues in platform construction, and legal clarity in responsibilities and rights amidst complex interactive scenarios. Drawing on the advanced experiences of the AI Agenda and deconstructing its real challenges, this paper suggests practical pathways for high-quality development in China’s sports sector during the global transformation: aligning developmental concepts to foster collaborative efforts; seizing opportunities in the intelligent era to maximize value impact; integrating China’s advanced experiences to secure competitive advantages; and establishing a co-constructed and co-governance system to address industry transformation challenges.
