Abstract: Since the founding of People’s Republic of China, especially after the policy of economic reform and opening up to the outside was introduced, China’s cause of the disabled has developed rapidly.As an important component of the cause, sport for the disabled has progressed significantly and entered the rapid development stage with certain scale and being institutionalized.To examine the interaction between sport for the disabled and cause of the disabled in general is of significance.Through using the method of literature review, this paper traces back the development of national cause of the disabled in general and sport for the disabled.From sociological perspective and guided by the critical theories, the cultural idea-view on the disabled-was introduced to analyze the mechanism of the interaction between the cause of the disabled and sport for the disabled and the part that the view on the disabled plays in promoting the cause of the disabled and sport for the disabled.
