Abstract: By using the methods of literature,induction,inter-discipline,from multidimensional perspectives of history,culture and aesthetics,this paper examines the aesthetic imagery of Chinese ancient poetry which highly praise the spirit of "Xia"(chivalry),explores Wuxia aesthetic culture in order to trace back the historical mark of Wushu aesthetic culture and explore its implication,do what a little one can to help the theoretical construction of Wushu aesthetic culture.It puts forward that "Xia",as one of phenomena of Wushu field and the public's aesthetic expectation in ancient society,is an emotional bond between ancient poetry and Wuxia aesthetic culture as well as a spiritual carrier of "dream of ancient Intellectuals and Chivalry." "Xia",because of its transcendental moral spirit and lofty personality,has become the spiritual strength of Wushu and public aesthetic pattern from generation to generation,and then increasingly accumulated as one of national cultural imagery.Aesthetic imagery such as sword imagery,horse imagery,hero imagery,allusion imagery,chivalrous imagery,conveys Wushu's righteous spirit of justice,patriotism,gratitude,integrity and reputation,carrying the cultural spirit of Confucius,Taoism,Mohism,which offers a certain historical horizon for Wushu aesthetic culture's research and basic Wushu theory.
