Abstract: By means of teasing out and analyzing the relevant literature in 30 years systematically, some questions and limitations are discovered, which existed in classifications and structures of sports sciences discipline in the correlative study.It include the following:1) The present classifications and structures didn't based on the fact that sports sciences have been divided into sports social sciences, sports humanities, and sports natural sciences;The sports philosophy, sports management and sports social sciences were ranked in the incorrect level.2) Various disciplines were classified in different level improperly, or some disciplines were placed in certain particular, which didn't accord with the attributes of sports sciences.3) Some classifications and structures weren't compatible with the present main disciplines.4) Some classifications and structures were classified according to different categorical norms.5) The understanding and classification for fundamental disciplines was not accurate.6) It was unreasonable to made comprehensive discipline as a type of discipline that based on a system of knowledge.Based on this, in the light of the existence and mutual relationship of three types of discipline (comprehensive-special disciplines, subdisciplines and transversal disciplines) and three types of sciences (sports humanities, sports social sciences and sports natural sciences) , this paper proposes a new classification and structure of sports sciences discipline.The main purpose is to provide theories for cognizing the discipline classification status, the relationships and characters on types of disciplines and sciences of sports sciences discipline in China, and managing the sports sciences discipline.
