Abstract: This paper tries to take back of physical education to the academic discourse of modernity under the perspective of state and society in China,discusses the relationship between sports and the state in the modernization process of modern China and further discuss the relationship between them.Contrary to the traditional academic discourse tends to think that the state's constructive power in the process of modern sports,this paper presents the " Forced" mechanism of society which has a big effect on the emergence of China's modern sports.State and society co-present in the sportization process in the period of national construction.Through rethinking this “modernity tradition”,to analyze the inherent spirit of modern sports so as to add new ideas to the reform and development of today's sports.
