Abstract: In the new era, China's competitive sports development faces new tasks, new missions, new requirements and new goals. Under the social background of the new era, it is of great significance to comb out the new tasks of competitive sports and the inadaptability, and explore the goal mission and innovation path of competitive sports. The study believes that competitive sports in the new era should "base on three new goals, shoulder four new missions, implement five new ideas, and practice six new paths" and meet the "three-step" strategic goal of socialist modernization with Chinese characteristics. We will implement the five main ideas of leading thinking, leading development, leading reform, leading the market, and leading the goal. We must shoulder the four strategic missions, mainly to improve the development strategy of competitive sports, and give new connotations to win glory for the country; promote the integration and development of competitive sports and mass sports, and help the new requirements for healthy China's construction. We will improve the competitive sports governance system and raise the national sports governance capacity to a new level, and broaden the function and value of competitive sports and serve the new needs of the construction of powerful countries. We should practice six innovation paths which are the establishment of new system and new mechanism of competitive sports development, innovative Olympic preparation model, improving the new measures of multi-disciplinary training of competitive sports talents, raise the new level of scientific and intelligent exercise training, constructing a new system of modernization competition with Chinese characteristics and broaden the new channel of sports culture construction.
