Abstract: In the background of building the Belt and Road project, some emerging industries will bring about more space for development and cooperation, especially those industries in which China have distinct potentiality and advantages. One of these industries is sports industry. Since the Reform and Opening-up, China's sports industry not only has become an emblem of the fighting and progress spirit, but also an important field of international exchange. The Belt and Road Initiative will provide a valuable opportunity for the international sports cooperation. The Belt and Road Initiative, proposed by Chinese President Xi Jinping, is an innovative approach to international cooperation characterized by great inclusiveness, broad coverage and the availability to the people. The building of “Healthy Silk Road” will continuously stimulate the potentiality of international sports exchange and present a better image of China for the world.
