Abstract: Based on the spirit of 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, we systematically discussed the new requirements for Chinese school sports development in the New Era that are solving the imbalance and insufficient problems in the development of school sports, ensuring students having a greater sense of gain in the development of school sports, fully tapping and exerting the moral educational function of school sports, coordinating the relationship between popularization and improvement, helping build a powerful sports country. In the process of implementing the above new requirements, school sports should abide by the following main points: firstly building its multi-governance systems to more fully meet students' needs for better lives, secondly improving its laws and regulations to provide legal protection for the development of school sports, thirdly improving the crosssection collaborative governance mechanism to solve the complex problem of school sports, fourthly deepening the reform of physical education and health curriculum to implement the moral education value of school sports, fifthly strengthening the construction of physical education teachers and improving their professional development level, sixthly carrying out a wide variety of sports competitions to train more high-level athletes, seventhly changing the evaluation concept of its development to give students more sense of acquisition.
