Abstract: Using literature research and logical analysis, the relationship between geo-culture and the development of rhythmic gymnastics is studied. The results show that rhythmic gymnastics was founded in a specific historical period and in a specific geographical cultural background; geo-cultural differences can reasonably explain the unbalanced development of rhythmic gymnastics around the world. The research suggests that we should pay attention to the influence of geo-culture when formulating the development strategy and thinking about the development direction of rhythmic gymnastics, we should fully study, understand and absorb the geopolitical cultural essence of rhythmic gymnastics in Russia; taking advantage of the development opportunity of rhythmic gymnastics under the background of contemporary Chinese culture, promote the development of nationalization and create the “Chinese style” of rhythmic gymnastics with “Chinese beauty” elements, and provide some reference for the localization development of other sports.
