Abstract: Objective:In order to explore the live inheritance way of sports intangible cultural heritage of China, we propose a feasible and effective strategy for live inheritance and protection. Methods: Through field investigation and interview, we firstly explore the potential factors that affect the live inheritance of sports intangible cultural heritage based on the theory of “taking root”, and then construct a structural equation model of the influencing factors of the live inheritance to make a systematical analysis of the influencing factors of the living inheritance system. Results: 1) as the only medium latent variable in the model, the inheriting agent not only has its own active status of the project, but also acts as a “Hub”, which has significant influence and is also the key of other factors. 2) The sequence of the exogenous latent variables on the main body of inheritance is as follows: government guarantee, social support, humanistic environment, project adaptability innovation and material conditions. 3) Perfecting the system construction of inheritors, getting the multi-support from government and community, establishing the concept of “home heritage”and introducing project adaptability innovation are the ways to improve live inheritance of sports intangible cultural heritage in China.
