Abstract:
Competitive Wushu is a competitive sports event with Chinese national characteristics, which came into being and developed after the founding of the People's Republic of China. Through the vertical review of the development of competitive Wushu since the founding of the People's Republic of China, competitive Wushu has experienced four periods: emergence,perfection, maturity and deepening. Based on the evolution logic of policies, rules, Olympics and market orientation, this paper analyzes the current situation and characteristics of the development of competitive Wushu, which are mainly reflected in the symbiosis and conflict between competitive Wushu and traditional Wushu, the continuous improvement of the evaluation and competition system, the unique connotation of competitive Wushu in the process of benchmarking and integrating with Olympic culture, and the economic value by market promotion and commercial operation. At the historical starting point of the new era,competitive Wushu must firmly take the ultimate realization of the Olympic strategic goal as the development direction, retain the traditional cultural connotation of competitive Wushu in the process of internationalization, emphasize the innovation of competitive Wushu in terms of both attack and defense and appreciation, promote“Wushu fever”in the process of promoting competitive Wushu, let the whole people benefit and share with the world. It provides a strong guarantee for promoting China's excellent traditional culture and realizing“Healthy China”and“A Dream of Sports Power”.
