Abstract: The implementation of the rural revitalization strategy has brought great opportunities to the development of rural sports,which conversely has promoted the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy. Since the founding of the People's Republic of China, rural sports has been included in the rural society, which has experienced three stages, namely, the stage of serving national defense and rural labor production, the stage of rural socialist modernization and the stage of rural economic construction. In the new era, rural sports will usher in a new mission to help rural revitalization. Based on the analysis of three typical samples of rural revitalization in the first developing areas of Zhejiang Province, it is concluded that key breakthrough is an effective way, cultivating characteristics is the content guidance, and multipartite integration is a practical path. This study aims to provide a useful reference for the exploration of rural revitalization in other areas of China. Finally, combined with the multi-dimensional perspectives of sports poverty alleviation, consuming upgrade and beautiful rural construction, this article point out that the phenomenon of“sports providing opportunities for all parties”will become the new trend of rural revitalization in the future.
