Abstract: As socialism with Chinese characteristics enters a new era, the integrated role and compound functions of sports and various fields of the social system are more prominent, and sports are accelerating into the “main battlefield” of social construction.Under the leadership of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with the Chinese characteristics for a New Era, the coordination of sports self-development and driving the development of other fields improves the high-quality development of society, which is an inevitable requirement to implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's “four important” strategy of sports and to reflect the “two comprehensive”development concept, and it is also the appeal of the era and historical mission for the reform and development of sports in the new era. It holds that the overall goal of the coordinated social construction of sports in the new era is unified with the realization of modernization development. The fundamental goal is unified with the improvement of people's well-being. The theme of the era is unified with the high-quality development. The value base is unified with people-centered, and the value orientation is unified with the fairness and justice. From the perspectives of integrating sports into the system of livelihood security to improve people's livelihood construction, stimulating social vitality to improve social governance innovation, strengthening growth drives to improve the social structure, assisting social harmony to improve the order and security of the society, nine specific action strategies are proposed: 1) Provide higher-quality public services for national fitness to support the construction of the Healthy China Strategy;2) promote the high-quality development of the sports industry to support social employment and business start-up; 3) promote rural revitalization and achieve the goal of common prosperity; 4) strengthen the Party building of sports social organizations and serve the innovation of social governance pattern; 5) the focus of sports governance moves down to the grass-roots level, and adding vitality to the innovation of social governance system; 6) promote the informatization construction of sports governance and coordinate the innovation of social governance methods; 7) empower the construction of new urbanization and improve the quality of urbanization development; 8) accurately meet the needs of sports throughout the life cycle to help optimize the quality of population development; 9) prevent internal risks, and promote external harmony, and coordinate development and safety.
