Abstract: The development of the sports in modern China is closely related to the social environment.It carries the national aspirations of Chinese for a wealthy and strong nation,as well as the hopes to make the nation strong after the artifacts developed and the code system progress have suffered a setback.Making a historical study on the development of the sports in modern China from the perspective of sociology of the body will help us grasp more clearly the history of emergence and development of modern sports and will better provide references and new ideas for today's sports undertakings in China.
