Abstract
In a critical period of advancing Chinese-style modernization, new quality productivity signifies a leap in advanced production capacity, primarily driven by innovation, leading to comprehensive and systematic changes in the sporting goods manufacturing sector. This study posits that the aim of transforming and upgrading this industry through new quality productivity involves progressing towards the mid-to-high end of the value chain, fully promoting intelligent manufacturing, implementing energy-saving and carbon-reduction initiatives, and enhancing integration and mutual advancement. These efforts seek to achieve high-end, intelligent, green, and integrated development within the industry. The mechanism of action is rooted in new quality productivity’s ability to reshape the organizational structure of the industrial chain and expand the boundaries of organizational division; accelerate the flow of data elements to lower transaction costs for enterprises; and enhance the potential for value addition, thereby speeding up the reconstruction and optimization of the value chain. To further facilitate the transformation and upgrading of the sporting goods manufacturing industry driven by new quality productivity, it is recommended to optimize policy and regulatory frameworks to align with the technological paradigm shift; strengthen digital infrastructure and implement initiatives for “smart and digital transformation” to stimulate the momentum for the transformation and upgrading; comprehensively adopt green manufacturing practices to create an ecologically circular industrial chain characterized by technological synergy; solidify the foundation for technological innovation and enhance the ecosystem for scientific and technological advancements; and improve talent cultivation and intellectual resource introduction model to build a high-quality workforce suited for the transformation and upgrading.
