    • As an advanced form of productive forces aligned with the new development concept, new-quality productive forces provide a clear direction for the innovation-driven advancement of competitive sports in China in the new era. Under the guidance of the new development concept, competitive sports should be led by technological innovation, supported by the next-generation information technology, driven by data and intelligent training, and integrated with education, science and technology, and talent development. The goal is to pursue high-tech, high-performance, high-quality, and sustainable development in competitive sports. The furthering of innovation-driven advancement of competitive sports through new-quality productive forces is characterized by technological innovation leadership, data-driven and intelligent features, the mutually reinforcing aspects of “new” and “quality,” comprehensive cross-disciplinary integration, and the reshaping of innovation-driven ecosystems. The furthering of innovation-driven advancement of competitive sports through new-quality productive forces is an inevitable trend in the reform and advancement of competitive sports, as well as a necessary requirement for achieving high-quality development in the new era. It is crucial to innovate the development models and concepts of competitive sports, strengthen original and disruptive technological innovation, coordinate the transformation of talent development systems, harness the usage of new digital infrastructure, and drive forward digital transformation and intelligent upgrades.
