    The Promotion Path of Blockchain Empowering Sports Data Element Market Governance

    • The transformation of productive forces is driving the deep innovative application of technology in the sports data domain. Blockchain-empowered governance of the sports data factor market has emerged as an effective pathway for the digital transformation of China's sports industry and the cultivation of a sports data factor market. The study posits that blockchain technology inherently embodies values of order, fairness, and efficiency, which contribute to enhancing the stability of market order, the fairness of transactions, and the economic efficiency of the sports data factor market. However, the application of blockchain technology in governing the sports data factor market faces challenges, including existing legal frameworks lagging behind blockchain’s rapid empowerment, insufficient external support hindering its governance potential, and hierarchical organizational structures struggling to adapt to blockchain’s regulatory requirements. To better advance the application of blockchain technology in this governance process, coordinated efforts should be made in three areas: improving legal systems for blockchain-empowered “sports × data” practices, establishing technical support systems aligned with the development of the digital sports industry, and constructing a diversified sports regulatory framework tailored to blockchain technology. Together, these measures form a “legal-technical-regulatory” tripartite approach to governance.
