Digital Transformation Empowering High-Quality Development of China’s Athletics Undertakings: Foundations, Challenges, and Pathways

Digital transformation serves as a core element in promoting the high-quality development of China’s athletics undertakings. It amplifies the sport’s attributes of public welfare, equality, and accessibility, infusing strong momentum into its advancement. From the perspective of digital transformation, this study employs literature research method, expert interviews, and logical analysis to theoretically explore the high-quality development of China’s athletics undertakings. The study concludes that the foundations for such digital transformation lies in data resources and technological advantages. However, challenges persist in collaboration, data mining, and promotion during the process. To address these issues, the study proposes a multi-pronged strategy, including broadening development directions, establishing digital transformation platforms, deepening big data utilization, enhancing data security, and activating market potential. By prioritizing digital transformation in athletics, China can seize opportunities in the evolving sports industry and sports reform for the building of a sports powerhouse and a Healthy China.
