Ethical Concerns and Trustworthy Governance Pathways for Applying Artificial Intelligence to Promote Adolescent Physical Health

    • The rapid advancement and expanding application scenarios of artificial intelligence (AI) in promoting adolescent physical health have introduced a range of ethical challenges. This study identifies three primary domains of AI application in this field: holographic perception-based data collection and integration, digital profiling for precise assessment and diagnosis, and intelligent evidence-based personalized intervention decision-making. By examining the inherent limitations of AI within these domains, the study systematically addresses ethical concerns across four dimensions: values, order, responsibility, and security. Grounded in the principles of trustworthy governance, the study proposes the following pathways: reinforcing human-centered and ethically aligned governance frameworks; establishing transparent and interpretable algorithmic audit mechanisms; clarifying multi-stakeholder accountability across the entire AI lifecycle; and strengthening institutional safeguards to ensure technical and data security.
