The Narrative Logic of Interdisciplinary Thematic Teaching in Physical Education and Health

    • Narrative approaches in interdisciplinary physical education and health thematic instruction represent a crucial strategy for advancing high-quality development in this field. Through methods such as literature review and logical analysis, this study dissects the narrative logic underlying interdisciplinary thematic teaching in physical education and health. The study concludes that the narrative logic of interdisciplinary thematic teaching in physical education and health follows these principles: Thematic integration as the narrative orientation, contextually appropriate scenarios as narrative anchors, emotional integration as the narrative core, and meaning construction as the narrative purpose. The design rationale is as follows: Anchor narrative objectives by focusing on core physical education competencies; organize narrative content by integrating knowledge from different disciplines to construct a narrative framework; deepen narrative construction by guiding students to actively explore and promote narrative building; evaluate narrative effectiveness through diverse assessment methods. The implementation pathways for interdisciplinary thematic teaching narratives in physical education and health are refining the subject, activating the “source of competencies” for the narrative subjects in interdisciplinary thematic teaching; reconstructing methods, establishing a “comprehensive approach” for narrative methods in interdisciplinary thematic teaching; innovating content, calibrating the “guiding star” for narrative content in interdisciplinary thematic teaching.
