Digital and Intelligent Transformation of Sports Training: Empowering Innovation in Olympic Preparation Practices
-
Abstract
The digital and intelligent transformation (DIT) of sports training represents an inevitable trend and a crucial means of enhancing modern training quality. Accelerating the transition from traditional experience-based training to scientifically grounded training in the digital age holds significant practical implications for promoting the high-quality development of competitive sports and innovating Olympic preparation practices. This study synthesizes the key scientific principles and enabling factors that have contributed to the exceptional performances of the Chinese delegation over the past five Olympic cycles. On this basis, it analyzes the practical challenges confronting China’s future sports training and further delineates the realistic demands and goal-driven imperatives for advancing the DIT of both summer and winter Olympic disciplines. It then elucidates the theoretical logic underlying how DIT technologies empower sports training, and examines representative domestic and international cases of innovative practice, including gymnastics, diving, table tennis, trampoline, and winter sports, tracing their evolutionary trajectories toward full DIT integration. Finally, strategic recommendations are proposed to inform the preparation for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
