Study on Progress and Trends of International Sport Sociology: Analysis of the Sociology of Sport Journal

This paper applies methods of content analysis and statistical measurement to give a description and analysis on 454 pieces of paper which were published on Sociology of Sport Journal(SSJ) from 1984 to 2008 from the aspects of research theme,researcher and research method.It has a significant academic reference value for domestic sports scholars,especially for sports sociologists,to make a further study of the trends and development of International Sports sociology.
