    Leisure Sports in Ancient China and the Attitude of the Society——Research on Chupu in Six Dynasties

    • As an ancient chess play,Chupu is an important representative leisure sports in ancient China.Chupu gained a great development in Six Dynasties,and acted as an important means of gambling for being involved with money,with the characteristics as follows:spreading throughout all sectors of society;with various bet and large amount;with random locations and complex purposes,and so on.Chupu acted to some extent as a part of an important means of obtaining money,what's worse,there were some people who fell into disuse because of addiction to Chupu,which was condemned by wise rulers and orthodox scholars.Chupu become a synonym for being with little learning,bad behavior or even not to attend to one's proper duties.
