    Analysis on Effectiveness of Wing Chun Ri-Zi Punching by Using the Engineering Dummy of Chinese Kongfu

    • Objective:The purpose of this study is to find out the different effects of punching from the waist in the Erzi Qian stance posture whether hitting toward the central line or hitting toward the right front of the shoulder(similar to Rizi punching,though slightly different in route) when hitting the engineering dummies explore for Chinese martial arts.Research Methods:16 martial arts-inexperienced female university students with the similar age and height are selected,with boxing from the center line and pediment,they are required to strike the Chinese martial arts dynamometer engineering people from the waist punches and elbow 150 ° punches.Then the data gained at the acceleration sensor of sterna and heart is compared to study the typical Wing Chun striking effect.Result:The research on the striking effect of Wing Chun typical Rizi punching:in the conventional distance,there is no statistic difference between the maximum acceleration of manubrium and heart caused by hitting the Chinese Kung Fu test engineering people's heart with Erzi Qian stance midline punch(Rizi punching) and to punch right in front of shoulder.But In the preparatory of 150 ° of the elbow joint,Erzi Qian stance midline punch is obviously longer than that of right front of shoulder,and of high statistic significance(with the prominent level P<0.001),but the acceleration maximum of heart did not differ significantly.Conclusion:This experiment proves that there is no difference between the effects of punching from the waist in the Er-zi Qian stance posture whether hitting toward the central line or hitting toward the right front of the shoulder(similar to Ri-zi punching,though slightly different in route) when hitting the engineering dummies explore for Chinese martial arts.The acceleration of the hit part(the sternal manubrium) of the engineering dummy is bigger when the elbow joint punches at 150 ° toward the midline than it does toward the front,but the acceleration in the heart place does not show any obvious difference,which demonstrates that it is in a short distance that Ri-zi punching can display the striking advantage.
