    An Empirical Study on the Major Sports Events and City Public Participation

    • During the current organization and operation of major sports events in China, public participation is still at the primary stage.This paper, through questionnaire surveys and LOGISTIC regression method, takes public participation of the 12th National Games in the people's Republic of China in Shenyang as a research object.The result shows that although on the whole, value perception, risk perception, information transparency and policies and regulations perception is an important factor affecting the public participation, but the risk perception and the policies and regulations perception has more significant effect.And more, in the four factors, race different segmentation variables on the public participation as well as differences.Income and education levels will also have an effect.Finally, according to empirical results, we puts forward the path and countermeasures of public participation in organization and operation of major sports events.
