Abstract
This dissertation carried on systematic study on the origin of physical culture, development, similarities and differences through the site investigations on three major Kazakh tribes including Kazay Tribe in Nileke County of Yili, Kelie Tribe in Jimunai county of Altay, and Naiman Tribe in Aleten yemule of Yuming County in Tacheng by way of literature review, interview and oral history materials.The study aimed at investigate the development and modern relevance of the Kazakh tribes' sports culture along with the great changes in modern society for ethnic work to be done better in practice and theory.According to the result of the typical exercises, entertainment programs and religious sacrifice showed that the homogeneity of the Kazakh tribes' sports culture lies in the relationships among the producing of the tribe sports, herding and hunting, and religious sacrifice.The heterogeneity lies in different aspects:the difference of historical, religious and regional cultures.With the social progressing and the promoting of the social civilization, the sports activities of Kazakhs' has tended to the keeping fit and entertaining from the service or worship of a deity.Some traditional programs have been added new concept.The tribe sport has become a comfort given to people, but not the religious meaning of preventing evil spirits.
