Relationship Between Match Importance,Competition Process and Mental State of Elite Table Tennis Athletes

    • Studies have shown that the cubic spline interpolation function and fitting analysis which are based on the variation of score have better capacity to reveal the table tennis athletes' mental state during competition. The present study choose real scores of four elite athletes in last three years in primary and secondary competitions, then drawn score curves for disclosing how elite athletes impact by different competitions. The results show the importance of table tennis competitions(three world tournaments:Olympic Games,World Table Tennis Championships and World Cup)have different effects on different elite athletes' mental state. Thus,if each athlete has specific mental training which can combined with the course of competition, they will improve their ability to handle mental stress in major competitions.
