Research on International Development and Hot Spot of Physical Activity for Children and Adolescents from the Epidemiological Perspectives

Based on the decreasing of global physical activity(PA)levels in children and adolescents,this article mainly review and analyze various aspects of the physical activity from the epidemiological perspectives,including causation and causal inference,measurement and surveillance,health benefits of PA,prevention and interventions.A complete approach of physical activity epidemiological studies is being built.Based on previous research,this article concludes the development trend of physical activity epidemiology around the world:1)as an effective method to increase physical activity,interdisciplinary among sport medicine,physical education and epidemiology,is being accepted and approved by researchers;2)all studies of physical activity behavior should be thought in the integral socioeconomic environment;3)combining subjective and objective methods is the trend to measure physical activity in the future;4)improving physical activity-related health behavior need rely on a comprehensive and integral intervention strategy through school,family,community and so on.Public health-oriented physical activity epidemiology contributes to explore the factors influencing physical activity level and their relationships to other health behavior.In summary,the study of physical activity from the epidemiological perspectives is quite beneficial to improve the total health,promote to develop physically active lifestyle.
