    The Spatial Patters and Evolution of the Stadiums and Sports Fields in Fujian Province

    • Based on the data collected in the Fifth(2003) and the Sixth(2013) National Survey,this paper demonstrates the spatial patterns of the stadiums and sports fields in Fujian province.The Exploratory Spatial Data Analysis(ESDA)is adopted to measure the level of the stadiums development,their ways of development,the development quality and land use intensity.The thesis also compares data collected in the past 10 years to find the track of their evolution.The result shows that 1)Though a stable spatial agglomeration has been found on the development level and quality of the county stadiums,the agglomeration tends to be weakened over the past 10years;no obvious spatial agglomeration has been found in land use intensity;and the development ways of the stadiums feature a complex spatial agglomeration,for the four indicators reflect different results.2)In the past 10 years,the stock areas of some counties in southern Fujian(Xiamen,Zhangzhou,Quanzhou)have witnessed a rapid development in the spatial distribution of hot spots;The construction of the sports ground and stadiums in Fuzhou was found to shift into serving for the national fitness campaigns;Sanming city shows a relatively weak self-financing ability to build stadiums;Quanzhou's traditional donations proves to have a positive impact on the surrounding areas;Fujian's sports lottery has adjusted and completed the investments on county stadiums;in coastal cities like Quanzhou,Xiamen and the inland Sanming city,sports development enjoys a relatively higher quality,while in Fuzhou region it is somewhat degraded.
