Ethical Review on Performance-Enhancing Technology in Sport

Performance-enhancing technologies are invented increasingly,however,some of them are utilized in the long-term period,some of them are controversial even cancelled at last.By examining thoroughly the ordinary technologies and performance-enhancing technologies in sport,analyzing Suits' definition to sports,illustrating some critical viewpoints on technology and dissecting Sigmound Loland's moral theoretical framework on performance-enhancing technologies in sport,the ethical bases for performance-enhancing technologies used in sport are summarized,that is,whether the technologies conform to the ethos and spirits of sports,whether they're harmless,beneficial,or their advantages outweigh disadvantages,whether they reduce the athletes' autonomy in competition.
