    Effects of Fundamental Movement Skill Development on Physical Activity and Health of Children

    • In order to enrich the research perspective of sports skill education and health promotion on children and adolescents, this paper, using the systematic review, based on Web of Science and EBSCO databases, collected the articles on fundamental movement skill development for 3-13 years old childhood from 2005-2016. The main topic of this systematic review is the effect of basic motor skill development on children's physical activity and health. The results show that 1) fundamental movement skill have a positive impact on children's physical activity habits, healthy weight, cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength and endurance;2) issues need to further research include:the accuracy of BMI index which estimates the effect of movement skills on healthy weight;the different Impact of locomotor skills and object control skills on children's physical activity and health;the difference with gender distinction variable quantity;Asian children's motor skills development and so on. 3) China should pay attention to the powerful forces of fundamental movement skill in children and adolescent health, reconsider children motor skill learning stage, strengthen research of preschool movement skills teaching, improve children's movement skill learning efficiency, and make the foundation for the children's lifelong exercise habits and healthy life.
