Abstract
As we all know, atherosclerosis is the pathological basis of many clinical sudden cardiovascular diseases. With the continuous improvement of research on disease mechanisms and diagnostic techniques, the control and stabilization of atherosclerotic plaque has become mature, and the reversal of atherosclerotic plaque has become a new research hotspot. A large number of studies have shown that exercise intervention is an effective approach to the reversal of atherosclerotic plaque and has more instruction significance than drug therapy. This article discusses the mechanism of reversal of atherosclerotic plaque by exercise, and the reversal of plaque in morphology and composition after exercise intervention, from five aspects:blood lipid improvement, oxidative stress response, inflammatory response, prevention of plaque enlargement and rupture, and the “doseresponse relationship” between exercise and plaque reversal. The relationship between exercise and the reversal of atherosclerotic plaques was systematically investigated.
