The Study on Construction of National Traditional Sports Discipline in the New Era of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics

Guided by the 19^th CPC National Congress' s spirit, this paper consciously, comprehensively and systematically sorts out the historical contributions of national traditional sports discipline in the new period of socialism with Chinese characteristics and analyzes the problems in the development of the national traditional sports discipline. On this basis, this paper puts forward the thinking of construction of the national traditional sports discipline in the new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The result shows that, since the reform and opening up for 40 years, China's national traditional sports discipline has made historical contributions in efforts to construct a theoretical system, inherit the tradition of repairing the sculpture of historical record and forming characteristic fitness modes, deepening economic benefits, strengthening cultural inheritance and establishing cultural self-confidence. However, China's national traditional sports discipline has problems of the self-consistency of discipline system, institution of discipline construction, standardization of discipline evaluation and complexity of discipline management at the same time, it needs to be changed by the methods of joint participation and consultative cooperation.
