Abstract
Using the research methods of historical anthropology, this article discusses the original state of martial arts and demonstrates the “budding stage of Wushu”. This stage can be shown through the residual form of historical documents and field investigation. The body movements that evolved from primitive Wushu Dance and Witchcraft contain education, entertainment and sports features, and can feedback to the current pattern of tripartite competition among schools, society and competitive sports. The fusion of martial arts and witchcraft also shows rituality. Repeatable ritual martial arts dance make the “aggression instinct” released, make the “inhibitory instinct” come true, and it also enables the intermingling form to be inherited through the expression of body sports culture. Finally, this article demonstrates the similarities and differences between the combination form of martial dance and witchcraft and Ancient Greek competitive sports, at the same time, this article explores the differences between Chinese and western sports culture.
