    Basic Problems and Strategic Choices of the Management of Youth Campus Football Characteristic Schools in China

    • By using the methods of the literature, expert interview, logic analysis and so on, this article deeply analyzes the basic problems and causes, then puts forward some strategies to improve the management of characteristic schools of Chinese campus football based on the current situation of management. The results show that the achievements of school management with campus football characteristics in China are obvious, but there are still some problems, such as the scientificity of establishing standard is low, and the orientation of reviewing standard is vague. The selection and auditing procedures lack of strictness, and the prior field investigation is absent; the regional layout and section allocation are unbalanced, and the overall planning is unsystematic; the popularization-oriented supervision tends to weaken and the dominant performance pursuit tends to expand. Therefore, this article puts forward the following strategic choices of perfecting the management of characteristic schools: 1) In terms of management standard, we should strengthen the scientificity of create and review standard setting, and increase the weight of popularization indicators, establish a mechanism of scientific reward and punishment. 2) In terms of selection and auditing, we should establish local special funds and evaluation expert database, and take the field investigation as a link to build a mechanism of top-level and grass-roots linkage selection and audit. 3) In terms of layout planning, we should systematically plan and promote stage, and expand the layout scale of weak areas, and increase the proportion of primary featured school. 4) In terms of development supervision, we should strengthen the development orientation of popularization, implement the supervisory measures of the principal as the first responsible person, and we should correctly understand the relationship between potential and explicit performance to set up a healthy concept of “political achievements” of campus football.
