Social Networks,Network Resources and New Venture Performance—Research on the Growth of Sports New Ventures in the Interaction of Entrepreneurs’ Individual Social Networks

    • Entrepreneurs mobilize network resources in the interaction of individual social networks to alleviate the resource constraints faced by the early establishment of enterprise organizations, which is an effective path to maintain the existence and growth of individual sports start-ups in China. It is also a realistic issue that needs attention in the theoretical research of sports entrepreneurship. In the context of the“embeddedness”theory of new economic sociology, from the perspective of network structure, this paper based on the verification of the mediating role of social network resources between the structure of entrepreneurs' individual social network and the performance of sports new ventures, this paper further points out the industrial characteristics of this transmission mechanism. The results show that: 1)The transmission path of social network resources between entrepreneur's individual social network scale, network top, heterogeneity and sports new venture performance is clearer; 2)the mediating effect of social network resources on the relationship between the social network structure of entrepreneurs and the nonfinancial performance of sports start-ups is more significant; 3)the individual social network structure of sports entrepreneurs with high density and strong relationship is more conducive to the acquisition of direct network resources, and the network structure with high heterogeneity is more conducive to the acquisition of indirect network resources; 4)the structural characteristics of sports entrepreneurs' individual social network with high density and strong relationship may limit the ability to obtain network“intermediary benefits”.
