Abstract
In recent years, more and more attention has been paid to the relationship between physical exercise and development of brain and mind in children and adolescents. However, the research evidence in this field had not been integrated and the related theories need to be innovated urgently. In this study, a multidisciplinary, multidimensional, and completed chain of evidence from brain and mind was provided. And then, four main ways(i.e., exercise load, motor skill, scene interaction and psychological state) of physical exercise in improving the brain and mind of children and adolescents were suggested by combing the theoretical evolution in this field, and provided a multipath model of exercise enhancing the brain and mind in children and adolescents. Finally, based on the current research progress and social needs, three main directions of future research were provided: 1) to update the role of physical exercise; 2) to explore a new model of “combination of physical exercise and public health” to improve the brain and mind of children and adolescents; 3) to carry out practical research on physical education to promote the brain and mind in children and adolescents.
