Abstract
Objective: To analyze the key sports technical characteristics of Su Bingtian in men's 100 m competition in the Tokyo Olympics, and then to provide enlightenments for the development of athletics in China and the world. Methods: The video analysis method, literature method and mathematical statistics method were used to analyze Su Bingtian's technical characteristics in 100 m competition which was finished in 9.83 s, and the performance of Xie Zhenye and Wu Zhiqiang were analyzed also. Results: 1) Su Bingtian's semi-final performance(9.83 s) was 0.81% higher than his personal best performance before the game; and the final score(9.98 s) was 1.53% slower than that of semi-final. 2) In the semi-final, Su Bingtian reached the maximum speed(11.969 m/s) at 45~60 m, and the 30 m segment took 3.674 s, which was 0.056 s faster than the record of 3.73 s created by Maurice Greene; the 60 m segment took 6.279 s, which was 0.06 s faster than the 60 m world indoor record(6.34 s) of Christian Coleman, and 0.03 s faster than the 6.31 s segment record created by Usain Bolt. 3) It is estimated that Su Bingtian's performance will be 9.876 s in semi-final without wind, and the 60 m segment performance is 6.31 s. Conclusion: 1) The competitive status of the three athletes in men's 100 m competition were due to the joint efforts of the athletes themselves, coaches, preparation teams and national leaders. 2) Su Bingtian created his personal best score, the Chinese record and Asian record, he also broke the 30 m and 60 m segment record in men's 100m race. However, the differences in data caused by different instruments and analysis software should be considered. 3) Su Bingtian's breakthrough has created a new era of athletics in China and Asian, and the progress of his performance is due to his own accomplishments, technological innovations, team supports and national policy leadership. His breakthrough will promote the development of sprint events and firm the cultural self-confidence of China.
