A Study on Building a Precision Push System of Community-Based Sports Services for Older Adults Based on User Profiles

    • User profiling technology has found extensive applications in the field of precision services, offering new insights to address issues like low quality of sports services for older adults, lack of awareness about different service categories, and a monotonous supply model. To that end, we proposed building a precision push system of community-based sports services for older adults based on user profiles, aiming to help senior citizens actively maintain their health, establish a robust healthcare support system, and shift the focus of health management forward. By employing literature review methods, we systematically analyzed the current uses of user profiling technology in various domains, explained its implications and value to sports services for older adults, and elaborated on the overall framework, key functions, implementation mechanisms, and operational processes of the proposed system. We reached the following conclusions. During the implementation of the precision delivery system for community-based elderly sports services based on user profiles, policy guidance should emphasize the awareness of categorization of sports services for older adults and ensure their privacy and information security. Technical support should involve building diverse user profiling models and establishing a mechanism for iterative user profiling. Resource sharing requires enhancing the collection of user information data and breaking down the “information cocoon” of older adults. A workforce specialized in sports services for older adults should be cultivated to improve the efficiency of service provision.
