Abstract
Objective: To analyze the differences in short-term emotional improvement effects between different visual field open spaces and different spatial types under similar open conditions during green and blue exercise. And then to explore the main and interactive effects of curiosity and open mindedness on emotions, whether physical exercise can further improve emotions after green and blue spaces intervention were also investigated. Methods: 120 participants(aged 20 to 40) were randomly divided into green group, blue group and color balance group, and they were finished the tests at 6 experimental sites. The international positive and negative affect schedule short-form(I-PANAS-SF) was used to measure emotion level, and the blood pressure and HRV were also collected. Results: 1) The main effects of open field vision and spatial type on the three indicators of SBP, DBP, and I-PANASSF positive emotion score were significant. The interaction effect between state and trait curiosity psychology on SBP, DBP and spatial type was significant. but the improvement of most indicators was not significantly different among groups. Overall, the emotional improvement effect of open field of vision space was better than that of unopen field of vision space. 2) Under open field conditions, the three indicators of I-PANAS-SF positive emotion score, SBP and DBP showed the best improvement effect in blue space, followed by the green space, but the difference between the two colors was not significant. HRV has the best improvement effect in green space, followed by blue space, with significant differences in RMSSD between the two spaces. In the green and blue balanced space, the improvement effect of most indicators was weak, and the difference was significant compared to the space type that ranks first. 3) Under unopen field of vision space, the green space had the best improvement effect in SDNN indicators, while the blue space had the best improvement effect in other indicators. The green and blue balanced space had the worst improvement effect on the four indicators of positive emotion score, SBP, SDNN and RMSSD. Conclusions: Physical exercise exposure to green and blue spaces can further improve short-term emotions. Under green or blue space, the improvement effect of SBP and SDNN in open vision is better than that of unopen vision. Regardless of open or unopen vision, exercise under blue space has the best effect on BP, exercise under green space has the best effect on SDNN. Overall, the blue space has a better effect. It is recommended that the waterfront leisure sports and the construction of waterfront leisure sports spaces should be strengthen, the virtual reality technology can be used to the application of research results in indoor exercises.
