Value Implications, Practical Exploration and Future Pathways of the Development of the Outdoor Sports Industry in the Process of China's Modernization

The high-quality development of the outdoor sports industry is of significant importance in addressing the strategic needs of China’s modernization. This study employs research methods such as literature analysis and logical analysis to explore the value implications, practical foundation and challenges, and future development path of the outdoor sports industry in the process of China’s modernization. The study suggests that the value of the development of the outdoor sports industry in the process of China’s modernization is manifested in the solid market foundation provided by the huge population, the building and sharing of common prosperity for all the people, the elevation of the role of coordinated material and spiritual civilization, the harmonious coexistence of humans and nature through green development. Through analyzing the practical foundation and challenges of the development of China’s outdoor sports industry, it is found that the industry possesses certain advantages in terms of market size, economic effects,social functions, ecological value, and international cooperation. However, it still faces challenges such as insufficient effective market supply, insufficiency and imbalance of development, inadequate realization of social governance functions, the absence of a well-established green development model, and limited international competitive strength of brands. Based on this analysis, the study proposes five aspects for the high-quality development pathways of the outdoor sports industry in the process of China’s modernization, including optimizing the allocation of industry resources, promoting comprehensive and coordinated industry development, improving the modern governance system of the industry, promoting the ecological development of the industry, and strengthening independent industry brand building.
